With a high tech telephone call center in full operation, Los Angeles
County is setting an example for the rest of the country when it
comes to customer service.
The telephone number, which can be called from anywhere in the
United States is (866) 901-3212. Case information is available
by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week when the caller enters the
Personal Identification Number (PIN) which is assigned to every
person involved in a child support case.
People calling (866) 901-3212 hear a recorded voice giving
them information on how to obtain child support information from
the automated system or giving them the option of talking with a
live operator.
Callers who are hearing impaired can contact the Bureau of Family
Support Operations at a special TDD telephone number: (866) 399-4096.
Live operators are now on duty from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday
through Friday, beyond the regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
One option on the recorded menu enables callers to access information
about their cases 24 hours by entering their Personal ID Number
(PIN). |
