Statewide Child Support Phone Line (866-901-3212) Returns to Service

 The Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department (CSSD) is pleased to announce that the statewide automated child support phone line (866-901-3212) is operating again following a nearly two-week outage.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate the public’s patience as technicians worked to resolve the issue.

CSSD Customer Contact Center staff are available now to take calls and help members of the public on their child support cases Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition to obtaining case assistance through the hotline, CSSD also encourages the public to obtain help through these alternative methods:

• Customer Connect: The state’s self-service child support website that allows participants to access their case information online 24/7. Visit http://www.cse.ca.gov/CustomerConnect/login.
• Access LA County Child Support’s Live Chat and speak directly with a child support specialist on our website. Visit cssd.lacounty.gov.

CSSD Debuts Virtual Interviews for Parents and Caregivers

The Los Angeles County Child Support Services Department (CSSD) is excited to announce the arrival of one-on-one virtual interviews with Child Support Specialists. Now, parents and caregivers can meet with CSSD personnel online and receive efficient assistance from the comfort of their home or their current setting.

The application of virtual interviews is being made to better assist customers and remove the barriers of distance, travel expense or work schedules that may limit their ability to attend in-person interviews and receive the help they need.

Scheduling a virtual interview is simple and easy. Customers can find their local Child Support Services Division Office, choose the “virtual interview” option and select a date and time for the meeting. After the meeting is scheduled, a meeting link is emailed to the customer.

CSSD suggests virtual interview participants to arrive at the meeting five minutes before the scheduled interview time. If the participant is unavailable or fails to appear on screen, an attempt by the Child Support Specialist will be made to reach out by email and/or telephone number.
